HMA-Hindu Marriage Act

The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 codifies the law relating to marriage among Hindus. This Act extends to the whole of India, except the States of Jammu and Kashmir. It applies to any person who is a Hindu by law (including Buddhist, Jain and Sikh). It not only provides for the ceremonies and registration for Hindu Marriage but also lays down rules regarding Divorce.

हिन्दू विवाह अधिनियम

हिंदू विवाह अधिनियम, 1955 हिंदुओं के बीच विवाह से संबंधित कानून को संहिताबद्ध करता है। यह अधिनियम जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्यों को छोड़कर पूरे भारत में फैला हुआ है। यह बौद्ध, जैन और सिख सहित किसी भी व्यक्ति पर लागू होता है, जो कि भारतीय कानून द्वारा हिंदू हैं। यह न केवल हिंदू विवाह के समारोहों और पंजीकरण के नियम प्रदान करता है, बल्कि तलाक के नियमों को भी समझाता है।
